Elon Musks’ Hyperloop will transport passengers from Vienna to Budapest in 10 minutes

Three companies in the United States announced plans to build Hyperloop test tracks, Elon Musk’s proposal for rapid transit vacuum tubes for people across long distances.

The futuristic mode of transport fires passenger-filled pods through a semi-vacuum tube at speeds of up to 700 miles per hour.

At presemt Hyperloop exists only in concept form

A 150-mile Vienna-to-Budapest stretch would normally take two-and-a-half hours by car, but  by Hyperloop it would only be a 10 minute trip.
Although Hyperloop will be packed with futuristic technology it is supposed to be a low-cost means of transportation. A one way journey on a capsule which could transport 6 people would cost around £13.
Test tracks are currently being laid in California and a working prototype is due to be trialled by the end of the year.
